Energy plants
Sites producing energy (be they nuclear or thermo-electric) need extremely safe, highly efficient equipment: this is the main reason for which Delfin vacuum cleaners are frequently used in these sectors. In nuclear plants, three-phase models are used to suck up and store radioactive powders, whereas single-phase smaller models are used for cleaning contaminated areas. They can guarantee maximum safety thanks to the high absolute filtration efficiency and the safe disposal systems for hazardous / toxic dusts.
In coal plants, where light coal dust is usually likely to float and settle more or less in every corner, single-phase, high filtration vacuum cleaners are used for mobile cleaning, whereas three-phase, high power units for continuous duty service for the suction of bulk material or larger volumes. The equipment is often requested to be ATEX explosion proof certified, due to the explosive nature of coal dust.
